Organized by Kadtabanga Foundation for Peace and Development Advocates, Inc. (KFPDAI) and Integrated Mindanaons Association for Natives, Inc. (IMAN), with the Consortium of the Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS), the PROTECT Peace in the BARMM Project successfully commenced the Baseline Survey and Industry Mapping snapshot presentation.
The activity was held at Marayag Pavilion, Bayanga Norte, Matanog, Maguindanao, on July 11, 2023, and at the 8th Avenue Hotel, Kabacan, North Cotabato, on July 12, 2023.
It was attended by the different representatives of the LGU, BLGU, Sectoral representatives, and BARMM Ministries such as PCA, MOST, MOLE, BWC, CSTA, CSEA, SGADA, MILG, and MAFAR.
The PROTECT Peace M&E Officer, Samra I. Lambitan, presented the Baseline Survey and Industry Mapping results. These results will serve as well-detailed data that can be used as a guide in designing an accurate intervention for the community, covering the project’s main target outcomes – Governance and Livelihood.
Additionally, these results will promote the regional economy’s sustainable growth and development by enhancing the activities and initiatives of the BARMM’s different ministries in meeting community needs.
Afterward, an open forum was held to address the community’s concerns. The BARMM Ministries expressed their support for the project and emphasized their commitment to fulfilling their mandate to serve the community and safeguard its welfare.
PROTECT Peace in the BARMM project is a three-year project agreement between the Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) and the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) that aims to build people’s capacity for peacebuilding and socio-economic development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
