The SHIELD Programme (Strengthening Institutions and Empowering Localities Against Disaster and Climate Change) has officially launched its e-journal, a digital publication that showcases inspiring stories, key milestones, and innovative practices in building resilience across vulnerable communities in the Iranun Corridor.

The e-journal serves as a platform to amplify the voices of local leaders, civil society actors, and communities on the frontlines of disaster and climate-related challenges. With a focus on collaboration, inclusion, and innovation, the publication reflects lessons learned and bold ideas that drive meaningful change in governance, development, and humanitarian action. SHIELD, supported by the Australian Government and implemented by UNDP Philippines together with its partners, operates in the most at-risk provinces of the country. It promotes local collaboration among government, civil society, and the private sector; enables national agencies to support local resilience efforts; and provides science-based, accessible information to guide planning and action.

In the Bangsamoro region, the Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) leads the program implementation in partnership with the National Resilience Council (NRC) and the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG). Their efforts focus on strengthening multi-stakeholder partnerships, integrating resilience in local development plans, and ensuring that all interventions are inclusive and peace-informed. The launch of the e-journal invites the public to engage with these stories of strength and transformation and to join the growing movement toward a more resilient and empowered Philippines.
