COTABATO CITY – As part of its continuing efforts to harmonize initiatives and strengthen collaboration within Bangsamoro communities outside core territory more formally known as Other Bangsamoro Communities (OBC), the Office for Other Bangsamoro Communities (OOBC) convened a second Coordination Meeting of the Bangsamoro Ministries, Offices, and Agencies (BMOAs), in partnership with the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament. The meeting took place on August 28, 2025, at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex (SKCC) Hall in Cotabato City, within the Bangsamoro Government Center (BGC).
The forum, presided over by the OOBC Executive Director, Prof. Noron S. Andan and the Deputy Executive Director, Mr. Quraish Langcap, served as a vital platform for reviewing ongoing initiatives, reinforcing inter-agency coordination, and aligning the priorities of the BMOAs and the BTA Parliament with the overarching goals of the Bangsamoro Government.
The meeting aimed to strengthen governance by promoting collaborative planning and policy harmonization, ensuring effective program implementation and improved service delivery to Bangsamoro communities within and beyond the core territories. In which, participants have actively engaged in a productive dialogue throughout the activity, contributing valuable perspectives toward achieving these shared objectives.
“This meeting is a testament to our commitment to a whole-of-government approach,” Prof. Andan said.
In his message, encouraging the participants to enhance efficiency in advancing the harmonization efforts for the greater good of the Bangsamoro communities, the professor delivered an inspiring call to action. Where he shared valuable insights that enriched the participants’ understanding of key issues, providing them with deeper knowledge and meaningful learning experiences.
“By strengthening our coordination and aligning our priorities, we can effectively address the needs of our constituents and ensure that no Bangsamoro community is left behind.” He added.
The Office for Other Bangsamoro Communities (OOBC) is a government agency under the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), mandated to address the concerns and promote the welfare of Bangsamoro communities residing outside the core territories. It functions as a vital link between these communities and the Bangsamoro Government, ensuring their inclusion in regional development plans and programs.
The coordination meeting forms part of the OOBC’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between various government offices and the BTA Parliament, fostering a unified and efficient system for implementing policies and programs that serve the interests of all Bangsamoro people. The insights and agreements reached during this meeting are expected to guide future initiatives and contribute significantly to the overall progress and development of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
