General Santos City – December 23, 2025: The Council of Imam Inc. (GSC-CI), a network member of CBCS located in the Soguda Buayan Cluster, successfully received and distributed 143 bags of 25-kg milled rice valued at P200,000 under the Department of Labor and Employment, Region 12 (DOLE) under its “Integrated Livelihood Program” (DILP). The symbolic release occurred on December 5, 2025, with full delivery completed on December 23, 2025, at 9:30 AM, including two scales for fair distribution.

The Project Milestone is this livelihood initiative supports community development in General Santos City, a hub for Muslim organizations like GSC-CI, also known as General Santos City Salam Council Inc.

The rice supply aids vulnerable families, aligning with DILP’s goal to reduce poverty through grants for starting or expanding projects.

Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) through its “Transforming Alliance for Good Governance” (TAP-G) project provided technical and skills development to its 145 members and to be member networks including GSC-CI by providing series of trainings on Organizational Management Effective Advocacy Campaign, Financial Management and Fund Sourcing including Project Proposals that helped this project made possible.

The GSC-CI and Barangay Buayan community beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude to both CBCS-TAP-G and DOLE 12 in General Santos City for the smooth implementation of the project. Moreover, the project gave an impetus for other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) that it can serve as model for future collaboration with government agencies is possible in SOCSKSARGEN areas of what TAP-G Project referred to as “Sugoda Buayan Cluster Areas”.
