The Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society started the year with a two-day Strategic Planning held at the CBCS Conference Room last Janury 6-7, 2020. The strategic planning for 2020 geared towards the development of the organization’s structural framework, its organizational development and setting-direction to align the organization’s aims and goals with the current political landscape of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

The Strategic Planning for 2020 conducted by the CBCS aims to make the organization stay relevant and on-track as it continues to accompany the Bangsamoro.  The CBCS Strategic Planning carries the improved ways of carrying its programs and its vision, mission and goals for 2020.

The first-day event was led by Danilo Mocsin, the Administrative Officer of CBCS where he gave a re-orientation on the background of the organization including its aims and goals. He has emphasized that the goal of the activity is to come up with the most comprehensive organizational structure, goals, and plan for the CBCS.

With the powerhouse, considering the presence of all the staff, the programs and goals of the organization was re-discussed and new strategic plans were made for the year. The functions and tasks including their deliverables was discussed and cleared. Among the highlighted ideas in the first day event was setting the objectives through which that addresses the needs of the Bangsamoro as far as its mandates are concerned.

The two-day activity also involves updates on the current Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and where does the CBCS stands as it continues to put into action its mandates and goals for a well-developed Bangsamoro.

As Guiamel Alim, the Chairman of the Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society said, “All of us maybe gone in times but CBCS as an institution will remain as long as there is someone who will continue to stand and work for its mandates, and mission as an organization.”
