To ensure inclusive governance, the Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society, Inc. through the Support to Bangsamoro Transition Justice and Society project supports the Intra-Dialogue Consultation among the Non-Moro Indigenous People (NMIP) in the BARMM conducted by the Office of MP Froilyn Mendoza and Teduray Lambangian Women’s Organization, Inc. (TLWOI). Last June 15, 2023, the said dialogue was successfully conducted and attended by forty-five (45) various community NMIP and other minority IP leaders from the province of Sulu, Tawi Tawi, Special Geographic Areas, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur. CBCS through the project continues to provide an avenue for this sector to create harmonious relationships and
help strengthen IP mechanisms that promote social cohesion and better understanding. The dialogue also served in clarifying issues and concerns regarding the proposed IP bill. The highlight of the activity wasthe promotion of consensus building among key NMIP and minority IP leaders in the BARMM for pushing the said bill. Meanwhile, another series of consultations was eyed to discuss other relevant matters on the proposed code. CBCS continues to support promoting peace and understanding among diverse backgrounds in the region.
