The CBCS-Sibugay Cluster had successfully conducted a meeting with its network members on February 16, 2025 held at the office of National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF). The activity was attended by fifteen (15) participants representing seven(7) network member organizations. The Labangan Cultural Heritage Council Inc. (LCHCI) headed by Tarhata T. Daligdigan, Iranun Da’wa Women’s Association Inc. (IDWA) Inc, headed by Nurjana G. Bago, Lenok Coastal Community Association (LCCA) headed by Baharudin Bawang, Timberland Women’sAssociation Inc, headed by Teresita Carbero, Youth Development Association (YDA) , headed by Nice Janella T. Daligdigan, Pagkaka Women’s Organization Inc. Headed by Rasam C. Sulani and Lapuyan Women’s Organization Inc., represented by Mr. Bahar Bawang.
The main objective of the activity is to monitor and document observable improvements of the trained CSOs on Organizational Management and thematic advocacy work and on Financial Management and Fund Sourcing conducted by Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS) in 2024.
A workshop was facilitated for the participants to report the progress of their organizations. Below are the highlights of their reports:
1.Their organizations still existed
2.Registered with the securities and exchange Commission (SEC), DOLE, DSWD, DTI and other accrediting government agencies.
3.Some were blessed and are now implementing a Sustainable Livelihood Program under DSWD Provincial Office.
4.Many are involved in community and school activities like clean up drive, attendance to Madrasa Literacy class for women, attendance to religious activities (Islamic symposium, etc)
5.Attendance to seminar and trainings provided by both CBCS and other organizations both government and non-government
6.They (participants ) all expressed their gratitude to CBCS for the technical knowledge they learned to include ability to tap financial resources like the Sustainable Livelihood Program of DSWD, thus, thank you so much CBCS.
7.CBCS helped us in our registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
The meeting have agreed on some important issues as their ways forward:
1.Sustain the networking meeting every two (2) months to keep the group intact and can help each other
2.To listen and view the CBCS-Sibugay Cluster Radio program from 6:30 to 7:30 in the morning in DXID FM- Station( during Ramadan the airing time is from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.)
3.To set schedule of the network bi-monthly meeting
4.Be part of activity for product display/exhibit of organizational products (during any gathering) for product promotion and marketing
