We, the conveners of the Tri-People Movement for Inclusive Peace and Development (TRI-PEACE) in the BARMM, earnestly call on voters to elect candidates who are prepared to address the region’s structural challenges, including economic inequality, political dynasties, poor social cohesion, corruption, poverty, and inadequate social services. Additionally, the TRIPEACE believes in shared leadership against the monopoly of oligarchs, which has been ineffective since many years back.

We further appeal to voters to support candidates and political parties with clear programs of government that respond to the socio-political and economic agenda of the Tri-People, particularly the poor Moro communities, Christian settlers, and Indigenous peoples.

While the TRIPEACE firmly believes that election is not the end-all solution to the fundamental contradictions in the BARMM, we share the belief that credible and fair elections are a good start to make democracy work.

The future of the BARMM depends on leaders who will confront poverty, insecurity, weak public services, corruption, and exclusion with courage, competence, and integrity. This election gives citizens a vital opportunity to choose leaders who will place the welfare of communities above personal interest, clan politics, and partisan advantage. Don’t allow external people with vested interests to influence you in your decision-making.

Furthermore, we call on all stakeholders in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to uphold clean, honest, peaceful, and fair elections. Voters must be able to cast their ballots freely and safely, without intimidation, coercion, vote-buying, discrimination, or any form of electoral fraud.

We join the voices urging candidates, political parties, election officials, security personnel, community leaders, civil society organizations, and voters to respect the law, protect the integrity of the electoral process, and accept the outcome of a credible election. By choosing leaders with integrity and by defending every vote, the people of the BARMM can strengthen democracy, advance accountable governance, and help build a peaceful, just, and inclusive Bangsamoro.

Finally, we appeal for active citizenry to show active participation by not only casting votes but also monitoring the conduct of the elections. Active citizenry must sustain their participation beyond the conduct of elections.
