The Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society Inc. (CBCS) in coordination with Bangsamoro Provincial Consultative Council (BPCC) hosted a 1-Day Training on the Principles of Moral Governance held last December 18, 2021 at Executive Function Hall, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

The activity was attended by fifty participants representing youth, women, men and religious sector of the Moro communities of Pagadian City and Zamboanga del Sur. The activity aims to capacitate the participants on two vital knowledge: 1. The gains of the Bangsamoro journey for their right to self-determination, shared by Mohaiya S. Pua from the presentation of the CBCS Chairman, Guiamel Alim and 2. The Principles of Moral Governance shared from experiences of Sheik Salman Maulana-Palwa of MAKTAB INC.

The activity gave more courage to the participants to help the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) spread the usefulness of the principles of Moral Governance. This is indeed a great help in leading the BARMM towards successful implementation of the different programs and services to the Bangsamoro people within its core territory and other Bangsamoro Communities outside.

In a participative workshop on the BARMM implementation the participants identified which among the priority agenda were attained and which of them were not and remain as a challenge for the next three-year term extension of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA). On the other hand, the participants also identified alternative course of actions and recommendations in order to lessen BTA burden in laying the foundation of Moral Governance in the Bangsamoro.

The exertion of the participants is also a manifestation that Bangsamoro Communities are keenly observing the developments in the transitioning process of the BTA and with high hope for its success.

After listening to the presentations on Moral Governance, the participants realized their vital role in the propagation and spreading the essence of Moral Governance, thus the group had come up with their statement of commitment. They committed to be part of the Moral Governance Advocacy Campaign in Pagadian City and Zamboanga del Sur whose basic role is to campaign for Moral governance, particularly implement good things and prohibit bad things.
